ARA Board Action
On November 12, 2009 Board President Dann Schwinger sent this announcement to ARA members:

I would like to announce that Tim Baghurst will fill in and take over the spot on the ARA Board that was vacated by the resignation of Micah Nichols.

We would like to acknowledge and thank Micah for all his work over the past few years. Micah had a lot to do with getting the shoot-outs going in NW Arkansas, he was very involved with the U of A racquetball team and also designed the current ARA website.

Micah has some family health issues he is dealing with in Texas and didn't feel that he would be around here much for a while.

We would also like to accept the resignation of Pat Bellisario. Pat has taken on a new job recently and this has not allowed him to participate in the week-end tournaments or attend any of the Board meetings. Thanks to Pat for his involvement and we hope to have him back soon.

University of Arkansas - Sunday, November 16, 2008
Are you a UofA Razorback fan?  If not who cares, but if you are we have some exciting information to share with you.  You guessed it, we now have a racquetball team.  The guys went to Russellville to compete in a tournament November 15, 2008.  They were awesome!!!  They demonstrated great sportsmanship and support for their fellow team members.  Jordan Yust placed 1st in the C division, congrats!  Everyone else played well and showed they will be players to look out for in the future.  At this time there are 14 players and we will begin doing some fundraisers and taking donations to help support the team in the near future.  If you are interested in getting a team at your local university or college take a look at http://usaracquetball.com/CollegiateRacquetball/HowToStartATeam.aspx to learn more.  You can also see other university's that support and have teams.
